Daryl teaches her own curriculum of Tinker Tykes Music
in Whittier, Ca. Tinker Tykes is developmentally appropriate early
childhood music classes for children with a grownup in attendance.
The following is a rough schedule of classes she's
teaching: Monday mornings, Tuesday evenings, and Wednesday afternoons

Daryl is available to sing for 1-5 year old birthday parties in
the greater Los Angeles area.
Daryl's Early Childhood Music
Bio:
Daryl Silberman is a mother of two young children, a professional
violinist, and an early childhood music educator. Daryl recently
left a corporate job at the Yamaha Corporation of America and is
now dedicated to teaching music and performing. Daryl has worked
with young children for the past 18 years, having apprenticed with
Music Time in San Francisco (in 1989) and getting licensed to teach
Kindermusik
(www.kindermusik.com), Daryl has developed her own curriculum
of music for children, Tinker Tykes Music.
For 3 years she was the Preschool Music Teacher at
the Center for Early Education in West Hollywood. And, she has taught
at the Yamaha Music School in West Lost Angeles (3 locations) and
at other preschools in Los Angeles and in Berkeley (where she lived
recently for 3 years). Daryl taught Kindermusik classes at A Mother∫s
Haven in Encino and continues to teach Tinker Tykes Music classes
in Whittier.
When not teaching, Daryl teaches private violin,
viola, and piano at her teaching studio in Whittier, conducts a
youth orchestra, plays with local symphonies and chamber music groups,
records and performs with folk singers and rock 'n roll groups (she
is a contemporary electric violinist as well as a classical player),
and occasionally tours nationally to schools around the country
to work with string students and teachers. When not teaching or
performing, she is mom to two young children.
